The Periwinkle Foundation continues to provide a supportive community for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses through camps, arts programs, and survivor programs. From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, the organization creates opportunities for children and their families to experience joy, build friendships, and create lasting memories. Each summer, Periwinkle welcomes children ages 7 to 12 to its week-long Day Camp, where campers can enjoy exciting activities and meaningful experiences in a fun and encouraging environment.
In 2026, Spindletop Community Impact Partners was excited to return to Periwinkle Day Camp for another interactive STEM Fair. Spindletop volunteers worked alongside campers as they explored a variety of hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities. Each station allowed the young participants to experiment, solve problems, work together, and discover STEM concepts through creative and engaging challenges.
The day was filled with curiosity, laughter, and discovery as campers moved through the different activities with support and encouragement from Spindletop volunteers. By combining education with fun, the STEM Fair provided campers with an opportunity to explore new ideas, build confidence, and enjoy a memorable experience with friends and family.
