The Spindletop Soiree brings together young professionals and rising leaders in the energy industry to network, learn about Spindletop and have fun! Hosted by the Spindletop Management Committee, the Second Annual Spindletop Soiree, Derby Nights took place on May 3, 2024 at Evelyn’s Park. Guests were transported to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby Triple Crown with ladies donning their best Derby hats and gentlemen in seersucker. Southern Fare was served by Heirloom Catering and included hot browns, shrimp & pimento cheese grits, hummingbird cake as well as the signature cocktail – a mint julep! Our guests went off to the races by participating in a fun Triple Crown Challenge, where they had the opportunity to guess the winning horse in a historic race prior and win great prizes.
Throughout the evening, photos were displayed of the children served by Spindletop as well as the volunteer events one could take part in, and guests heard first-hand from Management Committee member, Lindsay Weddle, on how to get involved. The evening raised nearly $68,000 – we send our sincere appreciation to all who made this first-time event a great success!
