In 2024, Spindletop funding made a meaningful impact in the lives of at-risk children by supporting programs that adhere to our four pillars: educate, empower, protect, and nurture.
We helped expand early childhood education through new school campuses and scholarships, strengthened STEM learning with afterschool programs and Career Test Drive fairs, and improved classroom environments through social-emotional skill development and better teacher-student interactions.
We aided in empowering over 1,000 children and teachers with tools to prevent abuse, build resilience, and resolve conflict peacefully. Mental health services reached 243 middle school girls, helping prevent dropout, and over 1,250 children and families received vital bereavement support. At the same time, we helped work to protect vulnerable children by helping feed more than 23,000 food-insecure youth, supporting foster care placements for 55 children, launching two new emergency alert systems for missing kids, and providing 150 brand-new beds to those without one.
Spindletop also assisted in nurturing inclusive growth by supporting children with learning differences, funding adaptive outdoor camps, and offering free teen recovery programs. We helped children with hearing loss learn to listen and speak, ensuring every child has a voice and a future. These milestones reflect the heart of Spindletop’s mission: investing in the potential of every child.
