YMCA of Greater Houston

For over 125 years, the YMCA of Greater Houston has been committed to creating a stronger, healthier and more connected community for all. The Y is a cause-driven organization that is for youth development, for healthy living and for social responsibility. A strong community can only be achieved when it invests in its kids, its health and its neighbors, and the Y proves that each day through its service of more than half a million people at 26 different centers throughout the Greater Houston community.

The Houston Texans YMCA is committed to being a source of strength and encouragement to all they serve. Their programs span from youth sports and swim lessons to personal training and Diabetes prevention to after school care. In 2018, Spindletop made a two-year pledge of $100,000 to Hurricane Harvey relief support for the YMCA of Greater Houston. In appreciation of this gift, the Houston Texans YMCA is home to the Spindletop Charities Child Watch, a secure area for young children. The 2019 site visit included a tour of this unique NFL-branded YMCA, and attendees participated in the ribbon cutting for the new Spindeltop Charities Child Watch.
