Spindletop was founded with an invitational golf tournament in 1966, and it has grown over the years to become the world’s largest charitable golf tournament. Nearly 300 oil and gas executives join together each year during the weekend preceding the annual Offshore Energy Conference and raise funds for Houston area youth charities.
