For the fifth consecutive year, Spindletop Community Impact Partners was proud to underwrite The CAC’s entire Back-to-School Program, helping hundreds of children and families begin the new school year feeling prepared, celebrated and supported.
Spindletop volunteers kicked off the program by assembling an record-breaking 671 backpacks filled with school supplies, ensuring children had the tools they needed to walk into the classroom ready for the year ahead.
The celebration continued at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where more than 500 children and families gathered for The CAC’s Back-to-School Celebration Party. Spindletop volunteers helped welcome families, assist with activities and create a fun, encouraging environment where children could enjoy the excitement of a new school year.
For children who have experienced incredibly difficult circumstances, back-to-school moments like these can mean so much more than new supplies and a fun afternoon. They offer a sense of normalcy, encouragement and hope – and remind children and families that an entire community is behind them.
We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers and proud to continue Spindletop’s partnership with The CAC. Together, we’re helping children begin the school year with something every child deserves: confidence, joy and the knowledge that their community is cheering them on.
