For the past three years, Spindletop has delighted in bringing volunteers together to help facilitate Kids’ Meals’ annual Trunk or Treat celebration. Unfortunately, this year’s event was cancelled due to inclement weather. Spindletop contacted some of its non-profit partners and was delighted to learn that Étoile Academy Charter School would be hosting its inaugural Trunk or Treat for students on the Thursday before Halloween.
Spindletop staff gathered all the candy and toys that were to be passed out and delivered them to Étoile for their first-ever Trunk or Treat. Teachers and administrators from the charter school decorated their cars, and students, along with their school-aged siblings, dressed in costumes, moved from trunk to trunk to enjoy the festivities of Halloween. Though our volunteers missed the annual service project, Spindletop was delighted to still bring joy and fun to children at Halloween.
