In 2018, Spindletop launched a program to engage the energy industry’s next-generation leaders in its mission. The Spindletop Management Committee (SMC) was formed to bring together rising leaders from across the industry and unite them in service with Spindletop’s non-profit partners.
In its seventh year, the SMC has been essential in building what is now a thriving volunteer network. Today, the Spindletop Army includes more than 700 volunteers representing every generation of the industry. The Management Committee devotes significant time and energy to coordinating meaningful service opportunities and engaging events throughout the year. Whether hosting STEM Days, revitalizing school campuses, supporting mental health and mentorship programs, or delivering beds to children who might otherwise go without, these volunteers share a deep commitment to improving the lives of Houston’s at-risk youth.
Check out the impact our volunteers have made this year and the hope and joy they continue to inspire in the children we serve!
