In November 2024, the Spindletop Management Committee was excited to present the Sixth Annual Unity in Community, a day of volunteerism and fellowship! This year, the event took on a new venue, Tejas Brewery, where nearly 80 enthusiastic volunteers came together to support six remarkable non-profit partners: Bo’s Place, The Brookwood Community, Casa de Esperanza de los Ninos, Crime Stoppers of Houston, Small Steps Nurturing Center and YES Prep Public Schools.
These organizations hosted unique service projects, providing valuable support to Houston’s at-risk youth while allowing our volunteers to make a meaningful impact on the community.
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to connect with peers and industry leaders, while each non-profit shared their inspiring mission and programming. This firsthand insight highlighted how each organization transforms lives in our community. In recognition of their vital work, Spindletop provided donations to help advance each agency’s efforts in supporting Houston’s at-risk children. After our volunteer activities, the day culminated in a networking social, where the spirit of Unity in Community shone through with the combination of positive impact, volunteerism, and celebration.
