The goal of Casa de Esperanza is to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect – one family at a time. Casa de Esperanza provides hope and healing for children and their families in the Greater Houston area whose lives have been disrupted by abuse, neglect, homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, parental incarceration and/or HIV-infection. Casa provides safe housing to children from newborn to 6 years old until a permanent home can be provided.
In April of 2019, the Spindletop Army spent the day with the children of Casa de Esperanza to give respite to their house moms. Volunteers had the opportunity to read, play games and make crafts with the children as well as hold and comfort the infants.
“I am so proud and inspired by Spindletop’s Emerging Leaders’ dedicated service to our youth charities. Through networking and inspiring others in the energy industry, our growing team of volunteers are making a difference.”
