Small Steps Nurturing Center’s (SSNC) mission is to provide an exemplary early childhood program to instill and foster the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth of economically at-risk children and their families. The program offers a free full day, high quality educational program. Families contribute back to Small Steps through volunteer hours through assisting with school projects, attending parent classes, and participating in parent-child events. Spindletop has supported such projects as a playground, a school van, play therapy equipment and the Spindletop Speech Therapy Room.
