Spindletop was an initial supporters of the Crime Stoppers’ Safe School Program when it was developed in 1997.  This program has helped law enforcement solve more than 2,000 school crime cases, including the removal of 265 weapons from classrooms. This program also educates students on social media and internet safety practices.
