The Spindletop Holiday Ball continues to be the premiere event in the oil and gas industry. For 46 years, executives and their spouses have come together to celebrate the season of giving, to enjoy fellowship amongst their peers and help support Spindletop’s mission of funding youth charities.

Each year the ballroom is beautiful with the decoration theme exquisitely displayed. There is a sense of awe from the guests as the doors open and throughout the evening the enjoyment lingers. Jolly ol’ Santa and Mrs. Claus are always present to greet the attendees, and the YES Prep 6th grade “elves” are eager to collect the gifts for the toy drive as the guests arrive. The beautiful poinsettias that are grown Brookwood Community Greenhouse are in abundance for the guests to enjoy and take home. The Virtuosi Children’s Ensemble delights the attendees during dinner, and the ladies’ door prizes are always a surprise! The highlight, however, are the Spindletop award presentations honoring individuals from both the operating and service and service sectors of the industry. In recent years to build on its legacy, the Spindletop Emerging Leader Steering Committee are invited to attend the evening as our guests.

David Stover, with Kathleen, accepts The Spindletop Award from Spindletop Director Clay Williams.

The family of Orville and Margaret Gaither, founding directors of Spindletop, received The Spindletop Founders Award from Spindletop President Liam Mallon and Executive Director Constance White.
