The Spindletop Mardi Gras Celebration was held on February 24th, 2017 at the historic Crystal Ballroom at the Rice Hotel in downtown Houston. The event was attended by oil and gas industry executives and representatives from the Spindletop charity organizations. Over 200 guests showed off their creative costume attire or festive Mardi Gras masquerade, and upon arrival, they were greeted by fortune tellers, caricature artists, a strolling magician and face painter. During the evening the guests participated in creative art facilitated and donated by Painting with a Twist. The festivities continue throughout the evening with Louisiana dancing tunes, delicious Cajun cuisine and the Spindletop Mardi Gras Game, sponsored by Gallery Furniture!!
